(Audubon) Audubon’s defense pitched their 2nd shutout of the season Friday night in a convincing win over Boyer Valley. The 4-0 Wheelers have allowed just 15 total points in four games after toppling the Bulldogs 80-0.
Gavin Smith got the job done of offense and defense for the Wheelers. He picked off three passes, returned one for a touchdown, and secured two tackles. On offense he had 10 carries for 138 yards and three scores. Smith completed 7/8 passes for 128 yards and three TD’s.
Ethan Klocke had three carries for 22 yards along with three catches for 33 yards and one score. Joel Klocke carried for 30 yards and one TD on three carries along with three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. Evan Alt had a rushing touchdown and 49-yard kick return score. Matthew Beisswenger added a 40 yard TD catch.
All of the scoring in the game took place in the first three quarters. Audubon is now averaging 60.3 points per game while allowing 3.8 per contest.
