(Corning) The Winterset girls scored 32 points and the Winterset boys scored 57 as the Huskies took top honors in each team race Thursday at SW Valley.
All five of the Husky girls scoring runners finished in the top ten and they finished with five runners in the top 14 of the boys race.
Creston’s Braelyn Baker was the individual girls champion in a time of 20:40 while McKinna Hogan, of Lenox, took 2nd in 21:44.
Riverside was among the local schools in the field with Becca Cody running 23rd and Stormy Noble placing 25th.
Central Decatur’s Williams Gillis was the boys individual champion with a time of 16:51. The runner-up was Tyler Blay, of West Nodaway, in 17:08.
Riverside was 5th in the boys team scoring. Ben Schroder led the Bulldogs in 10th while Mason McCready was 22nd, Clayton Spies 23rd, Eric Duhacheck 24th, and Brant Spies 38th.
