Verlene Meisenheimer, 91, of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery. Pastor Steven Broers will officiate the service. The Steen Funeral Home in Fontanelle is in charge of the professional arrangements. Open Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020, at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The family will greet friends on Friday evening at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family, church and funeral home requests masks to be worn, social distancing to be practiced and there will be limited seating at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Care Initiatives or to the Good Samaritan Society in Fontanelle.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Meisenheimer of Greenfield and Waneta Blazek of Centerville, Iowa; two grandchildren, Byron Blazek and wife Jerri and Stacey Blazek; three great grandchildren, Dawson and Taylor Blazek and Timothy Blazek; brother-in-law, Bob Meisenheimer and wife Sharon of Johnston, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
