(Glenwood) The COVID-19 positivity rate dropped from 8.3-percent to 7.8 percent in Mills County, according to the weekly report released by Mills County Emergency Management and Mills County Public Health.
The report shows ten additional positive tests from one week ago, which is ten less than the 20 reported for the week leading up to August 25. Mills County has 127 positive tests since the beginning of the outbreak, and 84 have recovered.
Officials say this week’s positive cases are a mixture of known contact and community spread. The age breakdown this week shows three positive cases between the ages of 0-18, six cases between the ages of 19-40, and one positive test in the age range of 41-60.
Mills County Public health encourages all county residents to be safe. They ask residents to practice social distancing, hand washing, cover coughs, and sneezes with a tissue or an elbow or upper arm, and stay at home when you’re ill. In addition to those recommendations, wear a mask if there is a possibility you will be within six feet of someone from another household.
