(Atlantic) Matt Weresh topped the field at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club’s Tournament of Champions. He entered the final day on Sunday with a four stroke cushion and shot a 3-over par 72 to hold off runner-up Zach Christianson.
Weresh shot (68-68-72) 208. Christianson went even par on both Friday and Sunday, finishing the tourney with a stroke total of (69-72-69) 210. Andrew Martin placed third with a (67-73-72) 212. Jared Koch and Jeff Gude rounded out the top five in the Championship Division.
The Senior Division Title was earned by Ron Peterson. Peterson’s three day total of 215 included a final round of 70. Del Miller and Darron Baker were the next nearest competitor’s, each with 222’s.
Rick Thompson led from start to finish in the Super Senior Division. Thompson’s (66-70-72) 208 was ten strokes better than runner-up Arnie Leistad’s (72-75-71) 218.
