(Winterset) A Creston man faces first-degree murder charges in Madison County.
Madison County Deputies and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation arrested 41-year old Gerald Parker on Wednesday on first-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of 39-year old Jonathan Hoffman of Des Moines.
A delivery driver found Hoffman face down at the intersection of Grandview Trail & Macksburg Road in rural Madison County at around 3:30 PM on Tuesday, July 21.
Parker is being held in the Madison County Jail
The investigation is on-going.
