Montgomery County Man arrested on Assault and Weapons Charges

(Red Oak) A Montgomery County man faces assault and weapons charges.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 49-year old John Lawrence Davis of Villisca on Tuesday for Domestic Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. The arrest stems from an incident in the 400 block of N. 5^th Avenue in Villisca. Officers transported Davis to jail. He is being held on no bond.

In other activity; Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 50-year old Mark Douglas Berggren, of Red Oak for driving while barred. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Vine Avenue north of Villisca. Authorities transported Berggren to the Montgomery County Jail. He is being held on a $2,000 bond.
