(Dallas County) A three-vehicle crash in Dallas County injured six people.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 7:41 P.M., Sunday, on Highway 44 near the 90-mile marker. Authorities identified the six injured individuals as; 31-year old Samantha Whitney, from Joplin, Missouri, and 58-year old Rhonda S. Gragg, of Perry, Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol identified the four other injured persons as; 45-year old Trevor Cozad and 22-year old Erika Cozad, 16-year Natalie Watson, and 16-year old Jessica Watson, all from Yale, Iowa.
According to the report, a westbound 2002 GMC Sierra pickup driven by Samantha Whitney crossed the centerline and struck a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup and trailer, driven by Trevor Cozad. The trailer disconnected and struck a 2013 Hyundai Elantra driven by Erika Cozad.
Air Ambulance transported Samantha Whitney to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, and Rhonda S. Gragg to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Dallas County EMS transported the other four injured persons to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
