(Harlan) Five people were arrested following a disturbance in Harlan.
The Harlan Police Department says officers were called to 1302 Hawkeye Avenue on July 3rd. Following the investigation, five individuals all from Harlan were transported to the Shelby County Jail. Dawn Noel Pederson, 35, was charged with assault. Jodie Ann Tuttle, 51, was charged with assault. John Allen Veydt, 59, was charged with assault displaying a weapon. Joseph Rheinhart Smith-Kidd, 35, was charged with disorderly conduct. Lisa Marie Briggs, 40, was charged with disorderly conduct.
In other activity, three people from Harlan were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on July 8th. Trinity Akasha Callahan, 19, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and prohibited acts penalties. Juan Carlos Andrew Lara Juarez, 21, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Haley Marie, 18, Briggs was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. All subjects were transported to the Shelby County Jail.
Danny Lawrence Brittain, 53, and Chance Deshon Marley Manley, 18, both Council Bluffs, were arrested following a call for service on July 13th. Brittain was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with willful injury, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Manley was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with aiding and abetting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.
Lisa Marie Briggs, 40, of Harlan, was arrested following a stop on July 14th. Briggs was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Young Courtney II, 32, of Harlan, was arrested following a call for service on July 7th. Courtney was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with theft and trespassing.
Brian Allen Sorensen, 52, of Harlan, was arrested on an active Shelby County warrant on July 9th. Sorensen was transported to the Shelby County Jail.
Fred Liden Fountain, 71, of Holcomb, Mississippi, was arrested following a traffic stop on July 10th. Fountain was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with operating while intoxicated, speed, and turning from an improper lane.
