(Minden) Occupants were treated for injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 near Council Bluffs.
The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened at around 4:10 p.m. in the eastbound lane near mile marker 4.
According to the report; an eastbound 2002 Cadillac Escalade driven by 41-year old Carri Hillis, of Minden, rear-ended a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven 41-year Rebecca Hewitt, of Des Moines, at a construction site. A traffic shift to the right lane caused vehicles to come to a stop. Hillis couldn’t get stopped in time and struck the back of Hewitt’s vehicle.
The Cadillac came to rest on its side in a ditch. The PT Cruiser ended up in the median.
