Rhett Bentley had four hits and scored four runs. Bentley and Wyatt Hough each drove in two runs. Tyler Reed had a double among his two hits. Ethan Reicks, Grady Jeppesen, Jake Erickson, Wyatt Hough, and Braydon Hill all had one hit.
Woodward-Granger 10, CAM 0
The Cougars managed only one hit in their first loss of the season. Class 2A top ten rated Woodward-Granger was led by Caden Easter’s 11 strikeout, no walk performance. The Hawks pounded out fourteen hits including four from leadoff man Reese Jamison.
AHSTW 5, Sidney 4
Joey Goins scored the walkoff run. Goins singled and stole 2nd, he scored on a throwing error following a Lucas Young bunt. Sam Porter and Clayton Akers each had one hit and one RBI. Brody Langer, Joey Cunningham, Joey Goins, and Nick Denning all had one hit. Clayton Akers (4) and Sam Porter (5) combined for nine strikeouts on the mound.
Nodaway Valley 9, Earlham 3
The Wolverines plated all nine of their runs in the first inning. Matthew Weber had two hits and two RBI. Caelen DeVault had a pair of hits. Other hits came from Mason Mather, Mason Menefee, Evan Forcht, Nathan Russell, and Boston DeVault.
Audubon 8, West Harrison 4
Marcus Olsen, Braden Wessel, Skyler Schultes, and Derek Porsch all had two hit games. Ethan Klocke hit a triple and drove in three runs. Aiden Alt and Gavin Larsen added singles. Joel Klocke struck out nine batters in 6 2/3 innings pitched.
Harlan 11, Creston 8
Seven different Cyclone had one hit each including a triple from Brenden Bartley and double for Isaiah Ahrenholtz. Singles came off the bats of Connor Bruck, Joey Moser, Ben Muencrath, Teagon Kasperbauer, and Cade Sears. A six run 2nd inning gave the Cyclones a four run cushion and they were able to hold on for the win. Joey Moser pitched 3 1/3 innings with four strikeouts. Moser gave up one walk, no hits, and one unearned run.
Perry 8, ACGC 0
Miles Kading had the Charger’s only hit. He also walked and stole a base. Clayton Wardyn drew one walk and Newell Rogers was hit by a pitch. Bryce Littler pitched four innings and Lance Bunde threw two. Each struck out two batters.
