Riverside 15, IKM-Manning 8
Riverside wins the Western Iowa Conference Championship. The Lady Dawgs are 9-3 overall and 7-0 in the conference. Their win plus an Underwood loss made it an outright league crown for Riverside. Ari McGlade had a single, double, and two RBI. Gracie Bluml stole three bases, had two hits, and drove in two runs. IKM-Manning was led by Emily Kerkhoff’s 3/4 night.
Harlan 11, Clarinda 0
Emily Brouse struck out 11 of the 14 batters she faced. Brouse allowed no hits and one walk in four innings. Tianna Kasperbauer threw a 1-2-3 fifth inning and struck out all three batters she faced. Harlan batters racked up eight free passes and had six hits. Kate Heithoff had a double and a single. Julia Schechinger hit two singles. Jordan Heese and Kennedy Kjergaard each singled.
AHSTW 9, Underwood 3
The Lady Vikes scored three in the 2nd inning and plated six in the 4th. The had 11 hits and walked six times. Kailey Jones was 2/3 with a two run single. Ally Myers posted three hits including a two run double. Madison Thornton and Natalie Hagadon each had two hits and Thornton pitched the win. She allowed nine hits, three walks, and struck out one.
CAM 19, Orient-Macksburg 1
Marissa Spieker cranked her first career home run for the Cougars. CAM has won six of their last seven games. They’ve allowed only three total runs in their last three victories. Their only losses since the first week of the season have been to a previously rated Grand View Christian squad.
