(Red Oak) A hero cruise night is planned for July 11 in Red Oak. Police Chief Justin Rhamy says the event is held in coordination with Paul Baucom on the Red Oak Cruise night.
The invite has been extended to the Hospital, Red Oak Rehab, Good Samaritan, Arlington Place employees, local Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Jailers, Police and Sheriff’s Office and the Southwest Iowa Squadron of Heroes to do a reverse parade.
The heroes will line up at 6:30 p.m. on the south side of the high school and the cruise will come through shortly after.
Cruisers should line up at Chautauqua Park and follow them on the route or do the route themselves. As the heroes come thru the High School everyone will be socially distanced, and cruisers are asked to stay in their vehicles and honk and wave.
The Cruise is an effort to show front line workers support for their efforts the last few months and always.
Questions or comments may be relayed to Red Oak Police Chief Justin Rhamy at 712-623-6500.
