(Essex) The Corner Conference Tourney Title in softball was claimed by Griswold Friday evening. The Tigers topped Stanton 3-0 to hoist the trophy.
Anna Kelley came up big at the plate with a home run, a double, and two runs scored. Lydia Greiman and Jenna Reynolds each had a hit. Makenna Askeland notched an RBI and Brenna Rossell pitched the shutout. Rossell gave up three hits, one walk, and struck out six.
The Tigers avenged a prior 7-3 loss to the Viqueens and improved to 6-4 on the season. They’ll be in action in the Bedford Tourney on Saturday.
