(Creston) One person was taken to the hospital following a single-vehicle accident in Union County.
Officials at the Greater Regional Hospital in Creston notified authorities of an individual brought in by private vehicle.
The passenger told deputies the driver identified as 48-year old Steven Dale Lamaak of Afton passed out at the wheel and entered a ditch and crashed through a fence and ended up in a farm field near 2440 Jaguar Avenue. Lamaak regained consciousness and the 2010 Chevy Cobalt was driven out of the field.
The passenger in the car escaped injury.
