(Council Bluffs) Officers of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and the Council Bluffs Fire Department rescued two adults and a child this past Sunday after their jet ski overturned at Lake Manawa.
Conservation Officer Adam Gacke says when they arrived they found several people in the water including a six-year old child and all them had life-jackets on. However, the high winds and large waves made it tough for the child to keep his head above water.
Gacke says there were no injuries and medics treated the child at the scene and returned backed to his family.
Rescue crews conducted another rescue at Big Lake on Sunday. In that case non-of the individuals in the water had life jackets on.
