Brenna Rossell pitched the win, striking out 6 while giving up 2 hits and 4 walks with just one earned run. Karly Millikan got the save, pitching one inning, striking out 1 and allowing no hits. Haylee Pennock scored 4 runs in her 4 plate appearances, hitting a triple, stealing 2 bases and bringing in 1 RBI. Kacey Danker added a double, 2 RBIs and scored 2 runs. McKenna Wiechman earned her way on base 4 times with a double, 2 stolen bases and scored one run. Jenna Reynolds, Lydia Greiman and Dakota Reynolds each hit a single in the offensive effort. The team batting average was .316 with an on base percentage of .639.

The defending Hawkeye 10 Champs got off to a good start with a shutout victory. Tianna Kasperbauer went four frames in the circle and Emily Brouse threw three. Kasperbauer allowed two hits and struck out four. Brouse fanned nine and gave up no hits. Kasperbauer drove in two runs at the plate and hit a double. Brouse and Madison Schumacher each had multi-hit games.
Riverside 5, Audubon 0
Kenna Ford fanned nine batters in her complete game shutout. Wheeler batters managed just two walks and two hits. Ashlynn Amdor posted a double, two walks, and two runs. Gracie Bluml was 2/3 with a two run double. Ford, Meghan Reed, and Chiara Rains each had one hit. Audubon’s hits were from Kali Irlmeier and Jordan Porsch.
