(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board approved a change in school policy regarding transportation to games for the baseball and softball season.
The change now allows parents to sign a permission form to transport their student-athlete to and from baseball/softball games during the 2020 summer sports season.
Atlantic Schools Superintendent Steve Barber says school Policy doesn’t allow parents to transport their student athletes to games. However, given the social distancing guidelines and a variety of thoughts by individuals surrounding COVID-19 providing this as an option for parents during the summer activities seemed logical.
This is not mandatory, only for those parents wishing to do so. Bus transportation is still available.
