(Red Oak) More charges are pending in a hit-and-run accident in Red Oak.
Police says the accident happened at around 3:46 p.m. on Monday in the 1000 block of East Valley. Witnesses stated a silver car struck a power pole and snapped it off. The car driver later identified as 29-year old Chelsea Joan Hale drove away. Officer’s located Hale a short time later and cited her with failure to maintain control. The accident remains under investigation, and more charges are pending.
Hale’s 2015 Volkswagon Passat sustained $5,000 damage. The damage sustained to the power pole owned by MidAmerican Energy is $1,000.00.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Red Oak Fire Department assisted the Red Oak Police Department at the scene.
