(Harlan) Throughout this week and next week, KSOM/KS95.7 Sports is honoring those that have shown an impressive level of support for their schools. A quick poll of some Harlan coaches and administration pointed us straight to Maggie Hatcher.
Even an 80th birthday couldn’t slow this Harlan superfan down from attending Cyclone games. The well recognized fan is a staple of Harlan athletics.
Hatcher follows all sports, but baseball is her favorite.
Her love for competition started with her dad playing town team ball in Jacksonville.
Hatcher lived outside of Iowa for about 20 years after graduation, but moved back to the area in the late 1980’s and has watched the Cyclones like a hawk ever since.
She admits seeing the young kids helps keep her going.
She adds the band program, drama, and vocal music are all very good as well.
