(Nodaway) The Iowa Legislature will reconvene on June 3 after suspending operations on March 16, as a way to fight COVID-19.
Iowa State District 11 Senator Tom Shipley from Nodaway says it’s going to look a little different when Iowa lawmakers head back into session next week.
Senator Shipley said the legislature would reconvene on June 3 and meet again on Thursday, Friday, and most likely return on Monday, June 6.
The budget will be high on the “things to do” list. Shipley says the budget was looking good, and plans were being made to use some of that money to help some people, before COVID-19 broke out.
