(Audubon) The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office received several calls from residents stating they received a call from Mid-American Energy and the recording states they will have their services disconnected if payment is not received.
The Sheriff’s Office contacted Mid-American Energy and verified this is a scam. They are working with their Cyber Security Company to get these calls stopped.
If you receive this call; hang up, do not give them any personal information, and call MidAmerican Energy directly at the number on your bill.
