(Elk Horn) It’s day two of our three part series on retiring educators. Lisa Dreier is calling it a career after 34 years as a teacher and coach in the Exira-EHK school system.
Among Dreier’s recent duties are LEO Club Co-Sponsor, Quiz Bowl Sponsor, and coach for junior high volleyball and track. She had even more coaching responsibilities on her plate in her younger days. All of the extracurricular activities are a big reason why she became a teacher.
She lists the LEO Leadership Club as the favorite thing she’s been involved in and the one she’ll miss the most. Several co-workers have left a lasting impression on her over the years.
The list of students could be just as long if not longer.
