(Red Oak) Two people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident in Red Oak.
Red Oak Police say the accident happened around noon on Monday, at the intersection of Highway 48 and W. Corning Street. Red Oak Rescue transported 21-year old Alexis Suzett Wingfield of Red Oak to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. A private vehicle transported 25-year old Michelle Marie Chapin, of Carter Lake to the Hospital.
Police say a 2013 Freightliner Cargo Truck driven by 48-year old Robert Reichart of Plattsmouth, Nebraska was unable to stop and struck a 2005 Buick LaCross SUV driven by Chapin. The impact caused the SUV to strike a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Wingfield. Both vehicles were stopped at a red light.
Police cited Reichart for following too close. The total damage is estimated at $13,000.
