(Council Bluffs) Pottawattamie County Public Health today reported 9 new COVID-19 cases, all of which are Council Bluffs residents. One of the cases is 18-40 years old, two are 41-60 years old, and six are 61-80 years old. These individuals were tested between May 7th and May 15th.
Thus far, 2,060 Pottawattamie County residents have been tested for COVID-19, and a total of 171 have tested positive.
Currently, two individuals are hospitalized, 92 individuals are self-isolating, and 74 have fully recovered. The vast majority of positive cases have not required hospitalization and have been able to fully recover at home.
Today, two additional cases were tracked via Pottawattamie County Public Health contact tracing investigations, bringing the current number of community spread cases down from 55 to 53.
