(Council Bluffs) The Pottattawamie County Public Health Department has reported three new cases of COVID-19. All three individuals are from Council Bluffs. Two of the cases are 18-40 years old and one is 41-60 years of age. The three were tested between May 14 and 15.
Officials say 2,o14 Pottawattamie County residents have been tested and 162 have tested positive. An additional six people have recovered bringing the total to 74 recoveries as of this report. Currently, two individuals are hospitalized, and 83 individuals are self-isolating.
The vast majority of positive cases have not required hospitalization and have been able to fully recover at home. Based on PCH contact tracing investigations, a total of 55 Pottawattamie County COVID-19 cases are the result of community spread.
