(Atlantic) The Atlantic School Board reached a tentative agreement on Master Contracts with the district’s hourly Employees and Education Associations on Friday morning.
Atlantic Schools Superintendent Steve Barber tells KSOM/KS95 News, both are one-year contracts. The agreement with the Employees Association includes a pay increase of .18-cents per hour, for the 70 employees, plus aging the current schedule that exists within their agreement. The total cost to the district is $68,357.00.
The School District and the Education Association agreed to delete the certified salary schedule in the 2019/2020 Master Contract, and replace it with a certified base wage schedule. The BA base wage starts at $32,124.00. Both parties agreed to increase the supplemental pay base by 1.99 percent, or ($825.00), from, $43,500.00 to $44,325.00 for the 2020-2021school year. The total cost to the district is $152,076.00.
The Master Contract is valid commencing on July 1, 2020, and ends on June 30, 2021.
