(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced today 534 new positive cases of COVID-19, for a total of 9,703 positive cases.
85 percent of today’s positive cases are from the 22 counties where restrictions remain in place.
4 additional deaths have been reported, for a statewide total of 188. Deaths continue to be among older adults and those with underlying health conditions.
There are 3,441 new negative cases for a total of 47,458.
57,161 total tests have been conducted for a per capita rate of 1 in every 55 Iowans who have been tested.
The Department of Public Health has confirmed one additional long term care facility outbreak at Accura Healthcare of Marshalltown.
3,486 Iowans that were diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered, for a recovery rate of 36 percent.
