(Pottawattamie Co.) Four people were injured in a rollover accident in southeast Pottawattamie County Thursday evening.
Pottawattamie County Chief Deputy Rob Ambrose said at approximately 11:30 p.m., Deputies were dispatched to the area of 525th Street and Pioneer Trail for a single-vehicle rollover with four occupants.
“The Deputies arrived and found the 2004 Ford Freestar that appeared to have rolled while trying to negotiate a curve,” explained Ambrose. “The driver was identified John Dine III, 18-years-old from Elliott. The passengers were identified as William McCormick, 19-years-old from Elliott; Leyton Schill, 18-years-old from Elliott; and one juvenile from Atlantic.”
The occupants were transported to area hospitals.
“Mr. McCormick was later released and the others I believe at least were held overnight, one of them having serious injuries,” said Ambrose.
John Dine was cited for failing to maintain control and no insurance.
