(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced today 740 new positive cases of COVID-19, for a total of 7,885 positive cases.
85 percent of today’s positive cases are from the 22 counties where restrictions remain in place.
516 of 740 new positive cases are from Black Hawk, Polk, Dallas and Woodbury counties.
8 additional deaths have been reported. Deaths continue to be among older adults and those with underlying health conditions.
There are 2,186 new negative cases for a total of 37,708.
45,593 total tests have been conducted for a per capita rate of 1 in every 69 Iowans who have been tested.
2,899 Iowans that were diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered, for a recovery rate of 37 percent.
