(Johnston) Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend appearing at Governor Reynolds daily news briefing issued this warning to employees being recalled back to work.
Townsend says those people choosing not to return to their place of employment jeopardize eligibility for work force benefits, and could lose their jobs.
Townsend noted a change in the Iowa Workforce Development phone system. Callers dialing the 1-866-239-0843 number, after making the menu selection, music will appear on the line rather than silence. Townsend says the music will continue until the call is answered. “We hope people will know their call is in cue and stop individuals from repeatedly calling and hanging up,” explained Townsend. “Please remain on the line and your call will be answered.”
