(Creston) Two men face drug charges in Union County.
Creston Police arrested 27-year old Brandon Haley, of Clarinda and 28-year old Tyler Elmore, of Creston on Friday afternoon.
Police arrested Haley at 12:30 p.m. for possession of a controlled substance-marijuana, 2nd offense. Authorities released him from the Law Enforcement Center on a Promise to Appear. Officer’s arrested Elmore at 12:45 p.m. for possession with intent to sell-marijuana (under 50 kilos), failure to affix a drug tax stamp, 4th-degree criminal mischief, (2 counts) of assault on persons in certain occupations, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, 1st offense. Authorities booked Elmore into the Union County Jail on a $14,000 bond.
In other activity, Sharon Gardner, of 900 N. Birch Street in Creston, reported on Friday that sometime in the past week, someone broke into her home and stole numerous items totaling $5,175.00. The items included; a cedar chest, Viking sewing machine, Camelback trunk, two ceramic Christmas Trees, three rings, full size and travel size vacuum cleaners, wood trencher, crockery churn, television, change, and bank.
