(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced today 482 new positive cases for a total of 3,641 positive cases. 33-percent of today’s positive cases are related to the surveillance testing at the meat processing facilities.
There are 1,313 negative cases today for a total of 23,974 negative cases.
27,615 Iowans have been tested for a per capita test of 1 out of 113 Iowans.
The State Hygienic Lab has 7,273 tests available. 1,293 Iowans have recovered, for a recovery rate of 35 percent.
An additional 4 deaths have been reported, for a total of 83 deaths. 10-percent of all of our positive cases in Iowa have been related to long-term care facility outbreaks and 51 percent of all deaths in Iowa are among residents in long-term care facilities.
Across all of the RMCC regions yesterday, there were 214 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, 23 admitted in the last 24 hours, 89 patients are being treated in ICUs, and 60 are on ventilators.
In hospitals across the state, there are 4,200 inpatient beds, 553 ICU beds, and 696 ventilators that are available for patient care.
