(Clarinda) Clarinda Police Chief Keith Brothers said the two students that absconded from the Clarinda Academy on the evening of Sunday, April 12th are still at large, but believed to be out of the area.
This morning, at 10:15 a.m., Annie Sump reported that her 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser had been stolen from her driveway at 709 North 15th sometime after 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. The vehicle was located this morning broke down in rural Grundy County, Iowa by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle had been “bottomed out” and the oil pan torn off from the engine, doing approximately $5,000 damage to the vehicle.
