(Johnston) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds at Monday’s press conference provided an update on the Regional Medical Coordination Centers mapped out across the state.
Region 4 covers southwest Iowa, including the counties of Harrison, Shelby, Audubon, Cass, Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Adams, Taylor, Page, and Fremont. There were two COVID-19 patients hospitalized, one new patient admitted within the past 24 hours, one in ICU, and none on ventilators. There 254 inpatient beds and 37 ICU beds, and 68 ventilators available for patient care.
Region 3 covers northwest Iowa. There were two coronavirus patients hospitalized, one patient admitted within the past 24 hours, one in ICU, and none were on ventilators. There were 540 inpatient beds, 44 ICU beds, and 59 ventilators available for patient care.
Region 2 is in the north-central part of the state. There was one COVID-19 patient hospitalized, no new patients admitted within the past 24 hours, one patient is in ICU, and one patient on a ventilator. There were 235 inpatient beds available, six ICU beds, and 25 ventilators available.
Region 1 includes Polk County and the Des Moines Metro, there were 38 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, five new patients admitted within the past 24 hours, 14 were in ICU’s, and 11 patients were on ventilators. There were 1,365 inpatient beds available, 139 ICU beds, and 224 ventilators available for patient care.
Region 5 including Johnson and Scott counties, there were 55 patients hospitalized, 12 new patients admitted within the past 24 hours, 24 in ICU, and 15 people on ventilators. There were 727 inpatient beds, 85 ICU beds, and 166 ventilators available for patient care.
Region 6, including Linn County, there were 44 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, five new patients admitted within the past 25 hours, 29 in ICU, 14 on ventilators, and 1225 inpatient beds, 69 ICU beds, and 133 ventilators available for patient care.
