(Taylor County) One person died in a head-on collision in Taylor County Saturday night.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 10:50 p.m. in the 1400 block on Tennessee Avenue. Authorities say 23-year old Kellie Renee Staples of Claxton, Georgia died in the crash.
The report says a northbound 2001 Toyota Corolla driven by Staples crossed the centerline for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a southbound 2019 Ford Flex driven by 40-year old John Fraley, of Streator, Illinois.
Sheriff’s Offices from Taylor and Adams counties, Lenox Fire and Rescue, and the Taylor County Ambulance assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
