(Red Oak) A man is in custody in Montgomery County after leading law enforcement on a pursuit through three counties.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle driver; Joshua Mohn faces charges of eluding with speeds over 25-miles per hour the speed limit, driving while barred and reckless driving.
Authorities say the incident started around 7:00 p.m. in Montgomery County when a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop for speeding on Mohn at Highway 48 and 160th Street. Mohn failed to stop and led law enforcement on a pursuit through Montgomery, Mills, and Pottawattamie Counties. Officers terminated the chase when they lost sight of the suspect.
A witness spotted the vehicle in a bean field at 425th and Applewood Road and notified the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies located Mohn walking back to the parked car.
Sheriff Departments from Cass, Mills, Pottawattamie, Fremont, and the Red Oak Police Department assisted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
