Volleyball
The Chargers set a new standard with 28 wins on the year and spent some time in the IGHSAU rankings. In the postseason they advanced to a regional semifinal where they were ousted by Underwood 3-1. Sophomore Chloe Largent led the state in kills for all classes and garnered numerous all-state accolades. Olivia Laabs reached 1,000 career digs despite playing libero for only one of her four seasons. Junior Audrey Stowe was 2nd in Class 2A in assists per set and 5th in total assists. They graduate only two seniors.

Cross Country
After the team placed 5th at state, coach Colin Shawgo told KSOM/KS95.7 Sports, “You can’t be happier with how they’ve done.” The Chargers scored 169 points and their tie with 4th place Jesup was broken by the 6th runner. Kate Crawford finished in the top ten for a 4th time in her career.

Winter Sports
2019-20 Basketball
Brad Baudler became the 4th coach in the last four years for the Chargers, but appears to have brought some stability to the program. ACGC fielded a competitive team that finished with a record of 11-11. They were 6-3 on their home floor with their only losses in Guthrie Center being against Panorama, CAM, and Woodward-Granger. They improved their overall record for a third straight season after posting two wins in 2017-18 and winning nine games in 2018-19.

The Chargers had just four team members and their low scorer was Kena Baier with a season best nine hole round of 50 and an average of 57.43.

Shared with Nodaway Valley and West Central Valley, going 9-7.
2019 Track
The team scored 13 points at the state meet to finish in the top 20 in Class 2A.
