(Council Bluffs) Authorities arrested two people in connection with a robbery in Council Bluffs.
The robbery occurred at around 2:18 a.m. this morning at the Kwik Shop at 3632 Avenue G in Council Bluffs. According to the store clerk, a black male dressed in dark clothing displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The man left the store with an unknown amount of cash. Officers learned the man was with a female dressed in dark clothing.
A short time later, a witness contacted Police seeing the two suspects on the Pedestrian Bridge. Council Bluffs Police chased the subjects on foot. Authorities arrested a 17-year old female on the Iowa side of the river. Omaha Police located the male, identified as 18-year old Christopher Robert Reed, on the Nebraska side of the river.
Reed is being held in Omaha, awaiting extradition back to Iowa. Authorities transported the female to the Juvenile Detention Center in Council Bluffs on a charge of 1st Degree Robbery.
