(Fontanelle) A tornado that developed in far northern Adams County and ended in Adair County Saturday afternoon has been rated an EF-1.
The National Weather Service says the tornado started at approximately 1:59 p.m. 8.6 miles NNE of Prescott and ended at 2:15 p.m. 3 miles south of Fontanelle.
The tornado did minor unspecified damage to a farmstead in Adams County before entering Adair County. Much of the path was then across open farm land. However, one farmstead was impacted with EF-1 damage to an outbuilding.
