(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds addressed the growing number of COVID-19 positive cases and two additional deaths during her news conference on Friday afternoon.
According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, the two Iowans falling victim to the virus, were an elderly adult, 81+ years of age from Poweshiek County, and one older adult 61-80 years from Allamakee County.
On Thursday, the Governor extended an earlier proclamation through April 7 and added additional business closures. Those include bookstores, clothing stores, shoe stores, jewelry stores, luggage stores, perfume and beauty supply stores, florists, furniture stores, home furnishing stores, and other retail businesses.
On Thursday, Montgomery County reported its’ first positive case of COVID-19. Today, Page County reported one additional positive case to bring the total to two.
