(Earling) Pat and Amy Hoffmann, owners of Lonely Oak Distillery in Earling, Iowa, are producing bulk batches of hand sanitizer for our healthcare and first responder heroes’.
Hoffmann says they have the raw material, (alcohol), to produce the hand sanitizer, and secured the other ingredients needed to start batching the product as early as this afternoon. The Hoffmann’s plan is to produce 50-gallons at a time and distribute the product into one-gallon jugs. They have the capability of producing 500-gallons of the product with more alcohol on the way. “We’re taking orders from healthcare and healthcare essential businesses,” said Hoffmann. “We’re trying to get people on the front-lines taken care of.”
The Hoffmann’s, prior to the distillery, were involved in the health care business and know what these front-line people are going through. “Just like everyone else, Amy and I were watching TV and listening to the radio, finding the out the worst and how bad it could get,” Hoffmann said. “We looked at each other and said we’re able to help, so let’s do it.”
Pat Hoffmann says health care agencies wanting this product can contact them by email: lonelyoakdistillery@gmail.com or visit their website or Facebook page.
