(Atlantic) To provide some cheer during these uncertain times, the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce turned on the Christmas Lights on Main Street.
Atlantic Chamber Director Bailey Smith says Christmas is always a particular time in Atlantic. The idea came from an article she recently read about people across the country turning their Christmas lights back on to cheer up their neighborhoods during this time. Smith thought-why not, so she contacted the people at AMU, and they stepped right up and reset all the timers.
“It’s an uncertain time right now, and a lot of people are nervous, and we think the lights can provide a little bit of relief,” stated Smith. “We encourage people to hop in their cars and take the kids downtown and enjoy the lights.”
The downtown will be lit up from now until March 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
