(Atlantic) Cass County Supervisor Chairman Steve Baier says beginning today, (March 18), the Cass County Courthouse is closed to the general public.
Baier says the decision is based on the Governor’s declaration of the statewide public health emergency based on the Iowa Department of Public Health’s determination of the increasing number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the state.
The Offices will be fully staffed with personnel available to answer phone calls and assist with functions completed online or remotely. If it is essential someone comes to the courthouse please call first and staff members will be prepared to admit them into the facility. The business will be conducted as quickly as possible to minimize health risks.
Many tasks can be completed online at atlanticia.com/county. Taxes can be paid online. Contact information is also available on the website. The number to the courthouse is 712-243-4570.
