(Elk Horn) The Exira-EHK School Board has approved a 20/80 School Business Official Sharing Agreement with IKM-Manning and an 80/20 Assistant SBO/Human Resource Sharing Agreement.
Superintendent Trevor Miller says Kyle Wagner is a new hire that will be shared with IKM-Manning. He’s an Assistant SBO and HR employee. Miller says, “He is newer so he’ll be trained by our SBO. They are both approved and good to go so we can share positions and keep our operational dollars.”
The board approved a budget guarantee resolution to levy property tax for fiscal year 2020-21 for the regular program budget adjustment. “We do that every year just in case we are on the budget guarantee. It’s a very small amount because we had a few students drop in enrollment. We do that every year in March and if you don’t approve it then you can’t qualify for it, so we approve it every year in March.”
A public hearing on the proposed budget is tentatively set for April 13th. The board approved a waiver for Spanish 4 after the course was offered, but no one registered for it. Audubon Furniture was awarded the flooring bid for the High School Hallway and Exira Cafeteria. They are hoping to start at the beginning of June.
