(Bayard) A Guthrie County man arrested Saturday afternoon faces additional charges following a search warrant at his residence.
The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year old William Ray Bonar, at his residence at 116 3rd Street in Bayard on Saturday afternoon. His arrest stemmed from an outstanding warrant for a Probation Violation, Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Offense, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Those charges led to a search warrant at his residence, which led to additional charges. The additional charges include; two-counts of Possession of a Prescription Drug without a prescription, Possession of Methamphetamine, 3rd, and Domestic Abuse Offender in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.
According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Bonar’s arrest is a derivative of a series of thefts and burglaries occurring at the Sparkie’s Convenience Store in Bayard during January and February of 2020. Additional charges are pending at this time.
