(Harlan) Harlan sends three qualifiers to the state wrestling tournament. The Cyclones have Ethan Lemon, Carter Bendorf, and Jesse Schwery in the elite field.
Ethan Lemon is making 2nd straight state tournament appearance. Last year he went 0-2 with losses to the eventual 3rd and 8th place finishers. He’s 35-9 this season and his first round foe will be 44-8 Ty Koedam, of Sergeant Bluff-Luton.
33-6 Carter Bendorf at 170 will face undefeated and 3rd ranked Caleb Swalla, of Van Meter/Earlham.
At 220 Jesse Schwery is 31-8 and meets #6 39-3 Kamrin Steveson, of Grinnell.
