(Des Moines) Gasoline prices fell slightly this week in Iowa compared to one week ago.
As of Thursday, AAA reported the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.23 per gallon across Iowa. That’s $.02 cents less from last week’s price and $.10 cents higher than one year ago. The price of global crude oil rose this week by $.11 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $51.84.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell $.04 this week with a statewide average of $2.70. That’s $.04 cents cheaper than one year ago. The current Iowa diesel price is $1.19 less than the national average of $2.89.
Wholesale ethanol prices fell $.01, with a statewide average of $1.34.
Propane prices held steady with a statewide average of $1.26 per gallon.
