(Audubon) A meeting between the Audubon City Council and Nextera Energy will take place next month.
The Nextera transmission lines originally appeared on the Audubon City Council agenda for their February 10th meeting. City Clerk Joe Foran says, “A couple of city council members had gotten some concerns from residents on these transmission lines that Nextera wants to put in.”
However, Foran says Nextera was unable to comment during the February City Council Meeting. “We contacted Nextera and they cannot speak with us technically until after their February 22nd public meeting at the high school. The council discussed it and took no action.”
A representative from Nextera is expected to be present for the March 9th Audubon City Council Meeting.
