(Creston) A Madison County man faces drug and weapons charges following a search warrant in Creston.
Creston Police along with the assistance of the Union County Sheriffs’ Office conducted the search warrant on Friday morning at 314 Division Street which led to the arrest of 47-year old Wesley Tolley, of Winterset. Authorities charged Tolley with Dominion/Control of a Firearm by a Felon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Manufacture Methamphetamine under 5 grams. Tolley is being held in the Union County Jail on a $5,000 bond. In addition to that; Tolley is being held on warrants out of Adair and Madison counties The Winterset man faces charges in Adair County for failure to appear on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense. His bond is set at $5,000.00. The Madison County warrant is for violating his parole.
Police also arrested 44-year old John Neely of Creston, following a search warrant at 511 S. Pine Street. Creston Police with assistance from the Union County Sheriff’s Office conducted the search which led to the arrest of Neely. He is charged with Dominion/Control of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell or Manufacture Methamphetamine under five grams. He was held while awaiting a bond hearing.
